Barnes & Daly was established in February 1999 and practices in all areas of the law. The partners of the firm have extensive experience in particular in the area of judicial review of administrative or governmental decisions affecting personal or property rights. The firm has more recently represented clients in significant constitutional challenges involving the interpretation of the Basic Law. Emphasis is also placed on human rights and refugee law, criminal law and employment disputes.

The partners of Barnes & Daly believe that all persons, regardless of their financial standing or background, should be provided with the best legal representation available. In that spirit, we will take on worthy cases often for no fee where the client has a legitimate grievance but his or her financial position is insufficient to meet legal costs. We may also assist with applications for legal aid and in other circumstances where legal aid is not involved we will endeavour to agree a figure commensurate with the nature of the dispute and the services to be provided.

In addition to our local clients we represent persons from many different countries including the Philippines, Vietnam, and countries in South Asia and Europe.
